Feeling ambivalent about my old clothes and also having no place to go during the shut down, I decided to repurpose my dresses by wearing them around the house.  So I recorded my pandemic routine to make a comprehensive list of my activities and performed them onsite in costume (i.e. pre-pandemic dresses). I hoped it would help me figure out whether these dresses are still mine to keep or if they now feel like borrowed clothes that belong to someone else. I thought this could also be a vehicle for connection as they’d give me something to post on social media.  Imagine my surprise when my feed was flooded with images of all kinds of people hanging around their house in their Sunday best. Oh, the sense of community.
